9 am - 3:30 pm
Develop your LEGO design and engineering skills as you work on creative motorized projects featuring animals, vehicles, Baby Yoda, Toothless the dragon and more! All builds feature a motor and battery pack for movement. Learn about gears and gear ratios, as well as engineering techniques for your builds.
In the afternoon, you'll learn how to make games by coding with Scratch, the world's most popular introductory programming software. Scratch uses code blocks to easily control all the elements of your games - from character movement to score-keeping.
You will finish with 3 games, including Flight of the Dragon, Making Music at the Scratch Megadome, and a classic skill arcade game. You use code blocks and customize your game while learning the fundamentals of coding logic and use of loops and if-then events. Take home your games to play on a PC or Mac.
Camp also features outdoor recess times, teacher-led games, and LEGO engineering videos.
Be sure to bring your own lunch, snacks and beverage.
