Summer 2020

Update - 6/16/20

Thank you for your patience as we worked through the complexities and uncertainties related to the current health situation.

Keeping in mind the health of the campers and your expectations for a high quality camp experience, we have decided to cancel the in-person camps.  We felt concerned about the health of safety of the kids and teachers, because the nature and strength of our programs involve teachers working in close proximity to students, and the campers interacting with each other.

We also felt that the impact of the county mandates to require 3-week enrollment would drive tuition up to $2850 ($950/wk.), which is much higher than our regular tuition.  The increase would be the result of class size reduction to 12, yet we would still have 2 teachers and a site manager present.

For these reasons, the in-person camps just aren’t possible this summer.

The good news is that we are offering a variety of online programs each week through mid-August.  These camps are similar to the in-person camps, and, thus far, the response from students and parents has been great!

Parents have found that their children, who had trouble sitting through online school Zoom sessions, are asking to sign up for another week of camp after completing a week because they had so much fun.

We have both Mini LEGO camps (1 hour daily for a week) or 3-hr half-day sessions for LEGO Projects, Minecraft Adventures, Scratch Coding & Game Making, and Python and Java Coding.

If you signed up for an in-person camp: If would like to transfer your registration to an online camp, please contact us at campinfo@techknowhowkids and we can process the change and any credit.

If you aren't sure if a 1-hr or 3-hr daily camp would work for your children, send us an email or call us at 650 638-0500 and we will provide you with an opportunity to try the online camp out at no charge. We're pretty certain your child will really enjoy it and want to continue!

If you are unable to transfer to an online camp, please let us know at and we will provide a credit which you can use for any future camp. The credit will allow you to sign up for future programs at the rate you paid for this summer — that means that if you signed up for a week-long camp, you will receive create for a future week-long camp, without having to pay anything else even if future prices go up.

We will automatically provide a credit and confirm it with you, if you do not contact us by July 1st.

We share your disappointment that this summer has not gone as planned. We have been providing summer camp programs for over 25 years and really enjoy working directly with children and teens. This summer is different, but so far the online campers are having a great time while they learn, and we hope you will try them out if it works for your situation this summer.

Stay healthy!
