Young Space Explorers are cleared for
take-off! Their mission: Use LEGOŽ elements to design a spaceship to visit
distant planets and then to build a city there suitable for living.
Students learn LEGOŽ building techniques while they create a giant rocketship, extraterrestrial homes, spacecraft, power and food stations, and more. Students also design some cool gear and motor-driven creations, including a 4-wheel rover, interplanetary space shuttle, and a tower with a rotating radar dish.
Students learn to interlock bricks for strength, make hexagonal structures, make connections with beams and pegs, add motion with gears, and use battery packs and motors to power and light up creations.
Half-Day Class: This is a half-day camp for 5-7 year olds. This course
can be taken with the
Simple Bots class if desiring an all-day camp, which includes a supervised
lunch recess.
