Master Builders:
Advanced LEGOŽ Building and Game Design

For Ages 7-9 - NEW PROJECTS AND ACTIVITIES each year!

Build robotic vehicles and machines that use the LEGOŽ Scout microcomputer and its built-in programs. Projects include an airboat, ATV with front drill, a motorized car which you steer, a solar vehicle, and an amusement park thrill ride!

Use motors, gears, solar panels, touch sensors and lots of other unique pieces.  Run your creations to move forward, respond to light or collisions, or move in random ways.

In the afternoon, students create their own adventure computer game using Stagecast software. Students can use LEGO characters, bricks, and vehicles in their game or choose from hundreds of other graphics! Campers take home their game to play at home!

Click here for a daily schedule of Master Builders.

Students take home the following:

Cool Camp T-shirt and LEGO item, plus their game to play at home!. Note that students do not take home the LEGO projects and pieces from the class.

What's new if my child has taken a LEGO Master Builders class last year?

We have five new building projects in the camp, all with a number of special elements and gears. We also have a new Friday afternoon event where students join teams to try LEGO and skill challenges!

What's different between this and the other LEGO camps?

Students in this Master Builders class create advanced LEGO projects, all which use the Scout microcomputer brick in them. Projects include use of motors, lights, a touch sensor, and even a solar panel. Afternoon time involves computer game design. By comparison, the LEGO Motor Madness camp involves simpler projects, and an introduction to NXT robotics. The Extreme-tronics and LEGO Action camps focus on remote-controlled LEGO projects, and either electronics or stop motion animation in the afternoons.
