TechKnowHow's Summer Intern program is a volunteer opportunity,
where students, ages 14 to 18, can assist younger students (ages 5-9) enrolled
in our camps and students ages 16-18 can assist older students (ages 10-14) enrolled
in our camps.
A Summer Intern, also known as a Counselor-in-Training (CIT), works alongside two
teachers in the classroom and gains experience in leadership, communication
skills, and working on a team.
An intern receives training to work in the
classroom, as well as in the use of software and technology tools used in our
programs. An intern also receives a letter of completion and extracurricular
experience for future college and work applications.
Summer Interns must be at least 14 years old by the time he/she is assisting in
the classroom. Their responsibilities include helping prepare and organize
materials for the class, assisting students one-on-one with their projects, and
helping teachers oversee the outdoor recess activities. We ask that interns
volunteer at camps for at least two weeks, a full-day Mon. - Fri. 8:45am - 3:45pm.
